Today (and tomorrow) I went on a teaching English as foreign language course in Bournemouth. It was great because I don’t often speak to people (except working in cafe and close friends) and this got me speaking to a whole group of people. Tomorrow got to plan a lesson teaching Farsi!!

Most of the time when I start a conversation, my words just mesh together because I am such a fast speaker. Especially the first sentence I say to a person when starting a conversation. It is really annoying because nobody can understand me. I mainly need to work on slowing down my speech and making my words clearer and easier to understand. Another disadvantage to being a fast speaker is that sometimes you are talking so fast your brain cannot keep up, and you get faster and faster until entire sentences are condensed into mere words. Well, I’m probably exaggerating, but it sure feels that way!
My goal is to slow down my speech, not trip over my words, and not mumble! Hahaha I am so glad I came across this goal! It is perfect for me!
Good Luck Everyone!
For me, this goal is probably more about thinking clearly enough to speak clearly! I gave a good presentation today about politics (of all things) where I was pretty happy with my speaking. Thanks everyone for all the cheers and pleased to see people adding this goal for themselves – means I’m not the only one with this problem! Good luck with it :D
