It’s been a while since I’ve done an update on this goal. Lot’s changed in my bedroom—lots has stayed the same.
For a while I had been doing a one step forward, to steps back thing, but I’ve finally got it under control.
As much as I hate to admit it, a big part of that is keeping it tidy.
It makes things more peaceful, and gives me more time to dedicate to the few finishing touches.
Next month I will get another curtain rod and hangers and do my french window.
I’d also like to refinish my dresser, I have most of the supplies I would need already, so this would end up being maybe a 30 dollar and 10 hour labor project.
Then I’d one day like to get myself another closet door. A mirrored one might run $200, if I recall correctly. 10 months ago
my zen place is not my bedroom but my office and i just love it. i have a altar with candles and some very precious keepsakes. i have a fountain. i have art on my wall that tells big chunks of my story. this room is the room in which i meditate and spend much of my thinking time. it is sacred space to me. i have even done a ritual to “clean” this room. i love it. 22 months ago
This goal is getting closer to being done. A major cleaning and organization overhaul has definitely helped.
