All I need is a $104.42 and I’ve completed this goal. My bills are pretty high right now, but none are from credit cards so I’m hanging in there! Fuck you T-mobile and Cablevision. You can wait until my next paycheck, bastards!

How I did it: I got a job which was nicely paid...not hugely but not a pittence either, i had been used to living on about $300 a fortnight so it was a jump. I found a piece of land i wanted to buy and my mum agreed to helpw ith the deposit if i started to save. Every week from my job i put $150 towards stuff from the baby and then all the rest but $50 in the bank, i'm smart enough to know that if i have no money to spend i won't save but i… Read how I did it…

It looks like it might be a reality—soon! I will open an ING savings account, perhaps even this week! Amazing.

Right now my savings account has 747.74 in it, so when it reaches 1747.74, I can mark this complete. I want to do this for my 101 things in 1001 days list.
I’m trying to save $1000 so I can buy myself a MacBook. I have an old makeup bag I’m keeping all my money in. By my birthday in October I’ll take any of the coins I’ve saved to a coinstar, and then start saving again. I get $40 every other week from my Dad. Hopefully by Christmas I can save $1000, or close to it.

Ayayay. Terrible. I will manage to save 500 dollars after this month, but I should have tracked my expenses far better. What can I say. There is nothing I can do to get that money back now.

And I mean cute. Really cute.
But then I was like—is this what I want to spend my money on? And I know that what I need to do now is actually travel light, not spend money I don’t have, and become aware that I don’t need to work more to spend, but that I actually have everything I need. The universe is providing me with exactly what I need to live without stress. Spending money on unnecessaries for now will just add weight and make me unbalanced.
Besides, if I am going to invest in shoes, make them exercise-friendly shoes. That is what I most need.

As I have only about 400 dollars in my power. Which means that, more than saving, I need to stop spending.
I opened a Wachovia Way2Save account today, although I just realized it might not be as super as advertised, as discussed here. Nonetheless, its forcing me to save. And for that, I am happy.
I am also being very conscientous (sp?) about what I spend, much more than I have ever been. So that in itself is progress.
More than hoarding money, I want to make a commitment to voluntary simplicity and conserving my life energy. That is the most important thing for me.

to this goal. Haven’t really made any progress here yet but I really needed new tyres on the car so now I am back on track. I am going to start a Christmas Club account as it’s too easy to use the money for a bill if it’s at home and in my savings account it will just get swallowed up in bills and fees.
