Since the weather was beautiful today, we drove down to Philly for a bit of sightseeing and of course a stop at Tony Luke’s. I got a regular cheesesteak with mild provolone and onions. The bread was great (my main reason for selecting Tony Luke’s) and the sandwich was tasty, but a little bit bland. I might try sharp provolone or possibly even the wiz if I ever get a cheesesteak again.

So after a bit of research, and yes a decent amount of influence from a viewing of the cheesesteak episode of Bobby Flay’s Throwdown, I’ve decided that I’d like to go to Tony Luke’s. Now I just have to find the time some weekend to drive down to Philly.
Delphi really doesn't need another status message to set.
I love cheesesteaks, so this seems like a natural. Not a big onion guy though, hopefully special-ordering doesn’t ruin the authenticity.
philly was actually the first place I had Philly cheesesteak. I remember it was really good and I went back and bought another one ;)
Eat at Jim’s at 4th and South Street!! I’ve been there twice and I’ll be going there again! It’s superb.
i’m from philly burbs so i had one from Pats, Geno’s, and Tony Luke’s my personal favorite is Pat’s i just love the way you order and the cheeze wiz is nice.
Although there are a few places in Jersey that are probably better, if you have the opportunity it’s totally worth it. Try Pats and Genos(I dont even like whiz and yet loved it on the steak), but my personal fav is Tony Lukes on Oregon Ave. The roast pork with provelone is awesome too.
I ate one in philly a few years ago. I used to live there. I actually don’t like cheesestakes, but many philidelphians do lol. Its like their trademark food!
Ate one at Ishkabibble’s on South Street. Yum. The atmosphere was cool and the sandwich was YUM!
