How to take part in a charity trek by thelucybird

"The best thing I've ever done, without a doubt."

How I did it: With a lot of blood, sweat and tears! But also a lot of laughter!  I've never felt more proud than when I reached the end of the trek.  I trained for it (but not as much as I could have done) and raised over £3000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

    Ideally I’d love to do this to raise money for cancer research, but Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital also do charity treks, which is obviously a very worthy cause too! The one that interests me the most is a sponsored trek along the Great Wall of China, which takes place in Oct 06. I don’t think I’d have time to train for this one though, so maybe next year instead.
