Linnealucky
I’ve been chasing dust bunnies and noticing all that’s in desperate need for change in this place, from the worn carpet to new paint for our doors, certain granny panties (ok, they’re not that bad), a bike that actually functions, all that stuff. It’s tacky, isn’t it, to write down one’s shopping list here on 43things… and it’s also true that I mostly long for things that money can’t buy anyway, such as the discipline to finish my degree, the ability to be the best partner my boyfriend can possibly have, the power to make my mum proud and happy, the nerve to be a better sister. And so forth.
Still. It’s time for a wish list with things one is actually able to buy! Some things have never been an option, others we would only have been able to do in the faraway future, if at all. I’m not going wild – - – for instance, we agree that we’d love to finish the Apartment Therapy goal. And I’m also sure to buy everything on my Amazon list, all the books I couldn’t find in the library or wanted to own. And what about language classes! Not “material”, but something that money can buy. And something very important: some nice surprises for my boyfriend, such as the Jeff Tweedy dvd he’s been pining for. Wilco tickets. Nothing makes as happy as giving to others.
I’ll compile the list. Not here, though… but it feels great to be able to that, for once – a real WISH LIST. 4 years ago
