I finished studying Tourism, and decided that it was’nt for me. Most people have an idealised image of it, but 90% of the jobs are in the office. I have to get out sometimes, otherwise I’ll go nuts!
So I’ve always enjoyed writing, and decided last year to study Media. I’ve specialised in editorial office work this year, and have 3 more years to go.
My plan on reaching my goal is to do some volunting, courses and maybe find a part time job in the media sector (if I’m lucky!). I already landed myself a nice freelance job, where I get a small fee for my work. I’ve also signed up for a course ‘writing short stories’ which is starting next month!
P.s. I am NOT English, for in case you thought.. mm typos + journalism ;-)

I love writing, and travel. I am an english major, writing concentration. I never liked the idea of journalism, because it is too close to reporting. The question is, is creative writing concentration enough? Probably. I have heard so many people say that you just have to DO travel writing, there is no course to take to teach you how to ‘travel’. Ive just started reading travel blogs and starting my own.
Has anyone actually taken travel writing courses? Ive never heard of them.
