I’m not fat. I just have fat. In places I don’t want it. I don’t want 6 pack abs but a flat stomach would be real nice.

There is a hill at the end of my street that is steep on one side, and somewhat level on the other. I warm up with a light 5 minute job, then sprint up the hill and jog down, sprint up, jog down, and so on until my chest can’t expand enough to get the oxygen my body is crying out for. I jog lightly until my breathing comes back down enough to hit it again. I zig zag up and down the hill from one end to the other until I pretty much collapse. It takes about 20 minutes total, 3 to 4 times a week. The end of the week will be telling as to how effective this really is on the old waistline.

Ice cream doesn’t really help. However, I am down to 169 as of today, and my I need a belt for my pants. I guess that means I’m moving in the right direction. I plan on measuring again on my birthday, October 6th. Hopefully the dimensions will be in a better place than before.

and it appears I did it wrong the first time. Apparently my body fat is about 20% and my ideal weight is about 155 lbs. or so. I think that makes more sense. Still working on it…

My goal was to do 300 reps in full, back to back to back, by today, Friday, Sept. 21, 2007. I pushed so hard. The funny thing is, I bet I could have done it sooner if I had pushed the deadline up. I need to challenge myself more, I think.

and I want to reduce it to 10% or less. The purpose is to lean up to see the work on my abs develop. I’m shooting for 145 lbs., which should be my ideal body weight, assuming I don’t develop any muscle. I guess I’ll have to keep an eye on the body fat as I work it down and build muscle, raising my lean body mass. I suspect I’ll end up with 150 to 155 as my ideal weight. Right now, I’m at 170 lbs., I have 37 lbs. of body fat on me. Yuck!
I want to get to 10%. Learning nutritional timing, eating every 2 hours. I actually eat more than 3000 calories, but eat about 8 mini-meals. I also do at least 30 minutes a day of cardio or weight lifting.
