Send a message in a bottle and get a reply!

I want to get married. I am 25 years old, and still single. I don’t consider myself a hopeless romantic, but I guess something about me is turning the guys off! I want to get married. That is my goal. But not just to anyone! He has to be a charming guy that will love and respect me. I am going to meet him,.....soon. My search starts now!

I put a message in a sealable bag, put it in a bottle and corked it up. Lizz and I went to Scarborough for the day, and afterwards we stopped at Filey so I could throw my bottle into the sea.

Hopefully it wasn’t smashed against the rocks after we left. :)

I sent out messages in bottles when I was very young. It must have been about 15 years ago, when I had just learned how to write. Unfortunately, I never got an answer, but I want to try again.
This time, I’ll write the letter in English, last time it was written in German because I didn’t understand any English. I guess that even if someone found the bottle, they wouldn’t be able to understand it because not many speak German…

This goal will probably take a long time to achieve… I’ll have to send out a bunch of bottles. Even then there’s a pretty low chance of someone actually finding and opening it.

I wonder how many bottles are sitting at the bottom of the sea with now-unreadable messages to strangers…

A few weeks ago (while running, of course) I found a lovely green gin bottle on the sidewalk. I cleaned it in the dishwasher, and now it’s in my car. I’d better throw it in the bay soon, or else everyone will wonder why I have a gin bottle in my back seat!
