I stranger paid for my lunch today. : )
He (and his friend) were standing in front of me (and my friends) in line and we were joking around and then he offered to treat me to my birthday lunch. (And he wasn’t hitting on me, he was just being nice.) I thanked him profusely and he just told me to “pass it on,” which I thought was fabulous and will do with delight.

I have had so much going on I haven’t planned anything, but I think dinner out at my favorite indian place with a few friends will be fine.
Tonight a friend gave me a small hand-made gift (it was a sock monster)—not for my birthday but just to be nice. I was really touched. I’d like to feel this way on my birthday, too. I don’t need extensive planning or expensive gifts… I just want to feel deeply, for one day, how much my loved ones treasure me every day.
