Prostition is going to happen whether or not it is legal. So why not make all prostitutes register in the system and keep track of their income and make them pay taxes for what they are earning like everyone else with a job? Then less people will choose it as the easy way out of getting a real job.
Plus, it can keep things a lot safer if there are the proper restictions. Prostitutes should be required to get checked for STDs/ect. every so often and if someone has an STD, then they should have their prostitution lisence revocked. This will help prevent the spread of STDs in the field. Also, since prostitutes will be registered (like everyone else with a job, this is in no way discriminatory to them, thank you) it will be a lot harder for any underage girls who try to break into the scene.
