SeekingBliss is making progress and feeling hopeful for the future.
im setting a 30 as my goal. i think the national medial for admitted students is something like 32, so i hope this goal is reasonable. for the types of schools im dying to get into, like stanford, this score will be on the lower end of their median scores, but i dont want to put too much pressure on myself and think this score is attainable for me. coupled with the immense amount of experience i have, i think a 30 would put me in a very competitive position for entry into med school. over the next couple of weeks i need to:
-come up with a study plan that is reasonable and fits into my school schedule
-signup for a prep course
-choose a general time frame for taking the test
-crack the books!
i also need to find out if i will have to retake biology. that is the one course i havent completed in the last five years. i will be applying in 2010…chem and phys i did in 2006-2007, so that will be fine, and orgo i did in 2008-2009 so for sure thats cool, but biology i completed in 2003-2004…might not be up to date as far as the med school requirements go. so far ive looked at two school sites, Stanford and U of IL, neither specifically say the courses have to be in the last 5 years, so well see. i should get in touch with a premed advisor in the next week or so to see what i might need to do.
