It’s quite funny, when you think about it—having a crush on someone you’ve never met but have only “met” on screen and on the pages of magazines. Someone you really don’t even know.
How is his temperament? Is he funny? Stuck up? Boring? I probably will never know any of that…just the simple fact that I adore his acting, his screen presence, his insanely good looks. All superficial, maybe, but that’s all I’ve got to form an opinion on why I think he’s just so great and would extremely love to meet him.
My closest claim to “Jake Fame” would be having the glorified title of the IHeartJake.com’s October 2006 Fan of the Month. Not endorsed by Jake himself but who knows, maybe when he’s bored, he goes on to the site to check out what his fans are up to? Who knows? Maybe he stumbled across my FOTM profile, read why I was chosen as one of his top fans and smiled out of flattery that some strange girl whom he probably will never meet is star stricken with a school girl crush with him.
Who knows. But to know that I was selected, that my name is on that website and he actually has been to the site on some occassions, makes me feel that much closer to my Jake.
Maybe one day I’ll bump into him running in a marathon or cycling down the roads of Malibu. Maybe one day, I’ll see him at one of his movie premieres—we’ll bump elbows, take a photo with each other and maybe I’ll even get a hug.
Ahh, one fine day.
Oh, and if ummmm, Jake happens to read this, I just want you to know that you are insanely talented. You are going to be a living legend in Hollywood, rightfully and deservingly so!!!
