Diploma and everything! 2 years ago

:) My Diploma arrived in the post yesterday, I got Grade CC for theory (that’s all my assignments, observations and curriculum plans) and a Grade C for my practical (placements). I am a very happy nursery nurse. Now all I need is the job :)

I've done this! But.. 2 years ago

I’m going to wait until I’ve received my certificate (or more accurately, diploma) to say this is done :) It’s more official then.

So close! 2 years ago

I passed my exam (C! Yay!) and now I have just one piece of work to do and 6 days left in schools (which is all arranged). Going to be a busy week though. Hopefully I should be qualified by September :D

Did my 3-hour exam 3 years ago

All that is left now is to finish some coursework, and calculate my days. I’m currently suffering from a ‘no ambition’ mood, which hasn’t helped, but I think the exam was okay, nothing particularly terrible about it, I wrote twelve pages :)

Oh, and we have a first-aid course coming up, but that should be relatively simple.

Stressed 3 years ago

Finishing my work is not going well right now, and I’m stressing about it all as I’ve only got until Easter to finish a LOT of work. My stress isn’t helped by the fact I do not like my current placement, as they’re not very nice to me, and keep scheduling my time, in places I could be doing my own work. Perhaps I should just look busy all the time.

It’s just getting me down at the moment… :(

Not so long now 3 years ago

I’m doing my Diploma in Child Care and Education, and I have but 12 weeks to finish all of my coursework, but that just means I have to work evenings and weekends on things. I’ll be glad to be finished and start working :)

Only a year to go! 3 years ago

Well, an academic year that is, I’ve just finished my first year and I’ll be back again in September, looking after kids under one. That will be scary at first. I’ve never looked after babies before. I’ve found so far the ages I work best with are toddling 2 years old and 4-5’s. But you never know, I may get on really well with babies. Mostly, I’m lookng forward to getting out there and doing a job! One I’ll enjoy too.
