Rachael is getting back on track with cheering since being away for a week
I’ve been making at least one meal each week from scratch, and they’ve all been liked, so I surmise I am ‘competant’ at cooking things :) but I’m still going to continue, I want to make lots of different styles of food :) I’ll never stop learning with this one.

I’ve started cooking meals for my parents. So far I’ve done them Hoi Sin and Plum Stir Fry Chicken and Black Bean and Red Pepper Chicken, both with rice. It’s a start, and I plan on doing more cooking with vegetables and from scratch cooking :) One I want to try making is Speedy Two Bean Chilli which I have a recipe for.

DH is such a fantastic cook that I don’t really feel too much pressure for this. It’s just that when I have cooked a thing or two, he was so mean! He actually threatened to throw one dish across the room because it tasted so awful…(I thought it was fine, not great but edible, you know?). I’d like to have a few dishes that he might consider complimenting. :-\

Not only because my work is piling up, but because I don’t eat fruit and vegetables (another goal), and so meals that are healthy, I don’t feel like making, as I can’t eat them. I don’t even like onion, which is a shame, as it’s in a lot of things I do like, such as various quiches. And I don’t care what anyone says, it is possible to have a tasty flan or quiche without onion :) it is, my mum makes one and it’s lovely.

It’s just a good thing to be, isn’t it? Nothing too fancy, I just want to be able to cook some good, healthy food.
