I really like watching the sunset, doing something before breakfast, breathing the chilly air before it gets sweltering and the calm of the morning, so I am going to start going to bed early so that I naturally wake up early. My goal wake up time will be between 6 and 8 until I get the hang of this. I usually like 9 or 10 hours of sleep, so that means I should go to bed between 9 and 11.

How I did it: I just shifted my activities into the morning instead of working on stuff once I got my second wind later in the evening/night. I found I got more done between 6-10 then I could the rest of the day. Besides nothing beats the early morning paddle on Long Island Lake watching Moose swim and Loons fish. Read how I did it…

not there yet. push harder, things are not easy. waking up early is NOT EASY. i should start facing it as a real challenge than just “yeh, ok, gotta wake up early”.
i’m gonna start swimming early in the morning and that’s a real challenge and I just gotta wake up early, doesn’t matter how hard it looks. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

i’m not a morning person. the earliest i can go to sleep is midnight and waking up at 7am is a little hard for me, specially in cold mornings.
but i’ll keep on trying.

i need to enjoy better my days and it’s been hard. I work from 12pm to 10pm, i get home about 11pm, go to sleep about 1am and wake up about 10am. I have 2 hours at night and 2 hours during the morning to do ALL my stuff not work related. that’s not a life. i’m thinking about going to sleep earlier and wake up at 7am. maybe i can wake up earlier some days and a bit later other days. still thinking.
I am still waking up late and sometimes this bothers thinking whether i have some sleep disorder or something like that. May be when I will get into a job, then the routine may get organised, but right now, its getting pretty messed up because of this habit of waking up late. I hope all this ends soon.
i procrastinate waking up to the point of sleeping up until 10 minutes before i must must leave or i’ll be extremely late.
it would be nice to actually greet the day before plunging head first into it.

If I get up early and have some quiet time. It may not matter when I have the quiet time alone; I’ll have to explore that idea later. At any rate, I now realize how much better I feel if I get up at a reasonable time in the morning and don’t let the day slip away from me.
