How I did it: I went on a tour of Hawaii and this was one of the things we did. I picked the tour because this was one of the many things I wanted to do in Hawaii. Everyone I talked to that has been has said this was a must. Before you are taken out to the memorial you are shown a short film which has acutal footage. This is still an active military base so you are taken out by navy personel. Coming up to the memorial I was in awe. The structure is beautiful. Close to the Arizona (the begininng) is the Mighty Mo (The end). Apparently there are tours of the Mightly Mo but that was not included in mine. It is very hard to describe what the feeling is like. The structure itself is beautiful and you feel awestruck as you see the ship. Still there decades later and still leaking oil. You feel solemn and sad because this is a gravesite. I brought the lei with me that I recieved when I got to Hawaii. You are allowed to put the flowers in the water but you have to remove the string. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

How I did it: My grandparents took me to Hawaii when I was a teenager rand thought it was important I saw this. I hadn't known anything about Pearl Harbour -- this was a meaningful way to learn. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

I going to Hawaii in October so I plan to mark the first three things off on my list on this trip. People always look at me strange when they read the sunrise one. They tell me that I have probably done that several times but then I have to explain that my goal is to see a Sunrise and as I live on the west coast all I have ever seen is the sun set over the ocean. 4 years ago
