I have been hearing lately that there are programs out there that I can use to pay off my mortgage within 7 to 10 years. Where can I find information on this without paying through the nose for it?

I have been talking about increasing my monthly payments since I bought my house. I do pay slightly more, I think my payment is suppose to be $779 or something like that. I have been paying $800 for a long time. I will bump it up to $900 and see if I feel any difference each month.

Worth doing!
We paid off a 15 year mortgage in a little less than 9 years. And in that time, one of us was unemployed for a year, we completed a renovation of our basement, bought 3 “new”(er) cars (which we also paid off in less than a year each), and managed to raise happy, healthy children who didn’t want for much. We’re not rich… just an average middle-class family who had a goal. You can do it too!
