Love and educate my children

As a Parent I find a major role in my kids life, is as an instructor. I teach them how to work with numbers (Math) and how to read, and remember spelling words. My goal is to teach them how to live with the knowledge I have, so they can be self sustaining. I don’t feel that the Public school teaches this, they have a responsibility to teach my children what the state has determined they need to learn. I’ve determined they need to learn much more, so I see their goal as secondary to mine, thus they are resources to my vision. I personally believe that if a parent thinks the Public Education System will be responsible for my child’s upbringing, they are deceived.
My Goal for this week will be to understand what their academic levels are, and determine how I can help them to get a leg up on school.
Most of all, I want my children to love to learn, like I love to learn. That the thirst for knowledge is never fully quenched.
