raise a ridiculous amount of money for charity

I posted this all over my myspace, and I’m sending them some money for each of their different missions. I’m telling everyone at every website I frequent.

I’ve been giving at least a buck to every charity I come accross. All those little “would u like to donate a dollar to …..” after you get your groceries et cetera. It makes me feel better about it anyway. Also As part of my goal to get rid of unnecessary stuff, all my good stuff is going to charities.

I’ve been inspired recently though and I do want to be a part of something bigger to do good for humanity. I’ll think about it more.

my best friend and i are doing this next fall (2006). we’re teaming up w/ starbucks to raise $159,000 for a charity called jumpstart (jstart.org), which helps children with literacy skills. we’re raising the money by visiting every starbucks in manhattan in a single day. that averages out to be 1 starbucks every 6 minutes for 16 hours. yikes! crazy, but lots of fun!
