fycarr is going to the lake tomorrow! Ready for R & R!
I’ve got a long way to go. I recently got a worm on my laptop and my son worked on it a whole day. After his work, my files are there, we just can’t access them! However, I did download a free antivirus program online just prior to the death of my computer, all by myself. (I felt something wasn’t “right”. The processing time kept getting slower and slower. I suspected a virus for some reason and noticed that my son had disabled my virus protection in order to play one of his games on my laptop.) Now I need to take it to the Computer Doctor and get it fixed. (We tried to reload windows but it didn’t work.)

I have learned to use a memory stick to save data. I mainly use it as a back up for the important stuff. I just learned last week how to change my ‘My Space’ background by importing a background using embedded text. That was really neat!

I’ve learned to maintain a blog and do so regularly. I post and tag my entries and from time to time I upload pictures and add links to my entries. I’ve embedded a line of html text for a Blog Action Day entry so that those folks could follow the activity associated with my entry.
I’ve chatted via gmail and yahoo.
I am using Access to keep a record of the books I own. I designed the data base using the wizard and changing the headings to suit my needs. I have learned to do querries on this data base.
I am using Excel to keep record of my personal finances: checkbook, budget, financial goals, and planning. I designed the worksheets and organized them to suit me. I also use excel at work to update a database that we are creating for the geneological archives.
I have made posts to various message boards- Shelfari, EPA, ivillage to name a few.

Like, know what the hell a tag is from the onset so that I don’t write a journal entry in the appointed space and have the words butchered and separated by commas.
