Really need to 3 weeks ago

I’ve been given several, but never had any to give back. I want to get some, but I’m planning to move next year and I’d hate to have a bunch of business cards with the wrong address. However, they are pretty cheap. I suppose I could also get them without my address on them. I wish I’d had them in time to give to my students that I finish with tomorrow.

It seriously took me 8 months to do this... 22 months ago

holy moly, 43things told me that the last time I made a post about this was 8 months ago when I had everything and just needed to buy the stupid paper.

Well today I did finally buy the paper. There were some minor issues that caused the printed version to be a few milimeters off, but overall the cards look fantastic. This will be so useful to spread the word about my website and just for networking in general.

Seriously though? 8 months? Shows how proactive I am…

They arrived today 2 years ago

I got a great deal on them through a friend… 5,000 cards printed in full color on both sides and UV coated for only $60 + shipping/handling/tax. I figure they should last me for a few years.

Unlike cards I’ve had made in the past, these have no company name, just my name, photo, address, phone and email on the front and samples of my publications on the back (pictured). They came just in time, as I’ll be attending a political meeting tomorrow morning and I can start using them immediately.

I spent so many years in Japan where business cards are an absolute necessity, I’ve felt a bit naked without them this past month or so. I may not currently have a day job, but I do have an extensive career. It feels good to once again be able to hand out my card as an extension of my identity.

I've got them!!! 2 years ago

they have been a big hit so far. I can’t wait to mail them to family & friends

there was a mistake on the cards 2 years ago

so I will not get them today. Apparently, some ink was dragged when they scored the cards (these will be folded down the middle to make a square shape). It looks like I will have to wait until tuesday, but I am happy that they are doing everything to make them right.

I'm so excited 2 years ago

last week I took my design to a couple of print places and thought I would have to wait for quotes, etc. Well, I got one right away from one place and they have already started on the job and I got a good discount because they were able to group mine with another print job! I really can’t wait to get them! I’ve designed cards for other people and had them professionally printed, but I have never had any of my own cards pro. printed. They are going to be great! It will feel so official to have “real” cards.

With a little help... 2 years ago

...from my artistic sister. Check this card out! It’s awesome. Now I’ve just gotta motivate myself to purchase business card paper.

Don't be shy... 2 years ago

Print a prototype to get started.

The cards are actually the easy part and you can change it once your business picks up speed.
