Readytobehappy unorganised
My dyslexia tutor introduced me to this. When thinking negatively, as soon as you notice the negative thought you replace it with a realistic solution to the problem or something positive. For example “I’ll never get this done” can be thought of as “This may take time but I’ll get it done and it’ll be worth it”.
You have to do this for 7 days straight, if you finish a negative thought before replacing it with an alternative then you have to start the 7 days all over again. It took quite a bit of explaining before I understood it, apparently after 7 days of doing this your brain gets used to this pattern and starts to do it automatically. I tried it for a while but struggled after 3 days & had to keep starting again but I really want to accomplish this goal. Anything to help me stop thinking crazy :)
