Originally, I’d set my goal to be running a 5K in 30 minutes, and I would still like to do that. However, it feels a little to distant for me, so I have changed this to a goal I hope to achieve sooner.
Currently, PR is 37:36. I can do this!

Ah yes, I still have a long way to go, but that’s okay. I am still on this journey.
I participated in a local holiday 5K yesterday. My time: 38:22. It wasn’t my best time; my last 5k was just under 38 minutes. BUT, I consider this a success because this run was much hillier, and it was windy, cold and snowing.
It was tough for me but it was still a fun time. The race provided me with jingle bells and a flashing Santa hat, and I had my boypal with me to make jokes as we tackled the hills and endured frozen toes.
By spring, I’d like to get my time closer to 36 minutes, and downward from there.

This goal seems impossible for me, but nonetheless, it is a goal of mine and it must be added to the list. I’m starting to believe it may be possible for me, and I’m going to keep working towards it.
Edit: I’d initially made this goal to run a 5K in 30 minutes, which is when I’d written this entry, but I have changed it to be more realistic for me, and a little less long term. :)
