This is a call to action! Each and every one of us should be taking actions to eliminate our individual carbon footprints.
I now ride a bike everywhere. When I have to go far, I take the capmetro bus. My wardrobe is slowly becoming composed of locally bought clothes. I offset my remaining emissions by buying carbon offsets from a local offset provider Triclimate Solutions. I even opted out of the certificate which exists just to make people feel good.
Climate change is real and happening now. We should all shrink our carbon footprints and offset the rest.

100 Months.

I found this editorial tonight. 100 months to stop irreversible, catastrophic climate change.
The editorial refers to various tipping points that will drive runaway climate change. One of these tipping points is happening right now, much faster than expected.
So tonight I went to a rally for clean energy put on by Moveon.org. It was nice to see a few people standing around holding signs. I followed it up with a visit to a Sierra Club meeting. But I think that maybe what we need is more of this sort of thing and less standing around holding signs.

i’m sure i’am speaking on behalf of everyone when i say this, that i don’t need global warming to happen because i want to experience my 43 things!
People, if you’re reading this the only thing i can advise for you to do is to go vegetarian. The health benefits are enormous, you live longer, you’re slimmer and you’re more regular. I mean, who likes being constipated? I know i don’t.
As well as this, the day you turn vegetarian is the day you make a stand and join in the fight against global warming.
If you didn’t know this it is actually slaughter houses, factory farming and growing crops just to feed cattle (every 4 kilos of grain eaten produces 1kg of meat) is the number one contributor to global warming today.
Land is being cleared all over the world to plant crops to feed cattle to go into your hamburger. Rainforests are being cleared everyday to make way for these crops. Animal species are being wiped out because of this land clearing, for their homes are being destroyed. If we didn’t have a meat industry, there would be enough food for everyone in the world to eat. More than half of the world’s crops are grown to feed slaughter house animals, (remember 4kg of grain produces 1kg of meat) they eat the grain, shit it out (methane (produced from cows) and manure being another big contributor to GW. It is worse than Co2!) the animal gets slaughtered, then served to us on a silver platter and then we shit it out anyway. It is all waste and the process before the slaughtering is the biggest waste of food resource.
Did you know that you can survive without meat? Do you have any vegetarian friends? If you do, how long have they been vego for and notice that they’re still alive??? and how healthy do they look? Vego’s are statistically slimmer than the average meat eater and their risk of retracting diseases is minimal.
The meat industry is so big because it’s what the consumer wants. If you don’t buy it, they won’t supply it.
I know this was a long and tiresome slab of writing but it’s really important and people have to know the truth. So if you really want to stop global warming, then going vegetarian can be your best attack on the situation.
