    I don't want to use "I have to" 22 months ago

    It’s easy and common to say “I have to” (go to the supermarket, catch my train, call my mom, etc.) but that only makes it harder to see that we always have a choice. I think it’s much better to say “I want to” (catch my train because I don’t want to be late) or “I’d like to” (call my mom, because we haven’t spoken in a while). It’s more active and makes me ask myself what happens if I don’t do the things I “have” to do. It gives me more perspective on priorities…
