Seven - Silver Falls 3 months ago

After taking my state board exams on tuesday my sister, her friend, and I went hiking at Silver Falls. I really appreciated the loving act of coming to pick me up and take me to a place where I could shake off and leave my jitters behind. The weather was perfect, and all in all, a beautiful experience :)

I’m going to count all my time walking in Ashland OR as five trails. Not sure how many I actually went on up the mountainside by the watertower, but I certainly walked enough the six months I was there!

The sixth I walk/ran yesterday here at McMaster University – from parking lot M along cootes to the gravel trail by the canal and all the way to it’s end at Dundas st. Looking at maps online, it seems that it was about 3.5 miles round trip. :)

I looked on-line at a bunch of trails around here last night – but being by myself it doesn’t feel like the safest idea to go hike them alone. Besides, I’m really limited on time an energy this week! I think I’ll run the canal trail again later this week though.

    (?) Unknown Trail
    Mount Baker National Forest

A nice little tromp through the forest and around the lake. We picniced on the stump and then took a nap. The water was freezing which was kind of nice because it was really hot out!

The Indiana Museum of Art has a few trails, one paved one not. I have walked the paved one, and it is lovely right now.
