My frustration with this business is that it’s solving the same problem over and over. After the first few clients, I never found the experience very rewarding. Maybe it was just my personality and set of interests, but I decided to go back to school and do math/computing research work instead. Now my problems take a lot longer to solve, but I know I’m not going to have to make the millionth iteration of the same damn database-driven website. I prefer knowing the next challenge will be different from the last.
