I am becoming a yoga teacher, only 10 more lessons to go :) One of the most important aspects of that is being loyal to my own yoga practice. Also realizing that on bad days I can just read about yoga, and still be able to check this off.

It was great! I’m doing hour-long sessions of Tai Chi every Tuesday and Thursday morning. I feel like I actually have energy, which is great considering I’ve been really sick for the past week and sick just about a month now. It’s not quite yoga, but this is a great routine. I’ll probably be doing it every day once our Master teachers us all the routines. I’m the youngest person there by about thirty to thirty-five years.
AMGL wonders if staying here is a good idea.
I am doing 20-30 minutes 4-5 times a week. I would like to build up to doing 25 minutes in the morning, and 25 minutes in the evening.

So far so good. I try and do at least 20 minutes every night before bed. There is no better way to get over depression than yoga and meditation in my mind.
I’ve found a great way to practice the standing poses…. in the pool! The tree pose is SO much easier once you have water buoying you up. You don’t feel the stretch as much, though.

This is key for my physical well-being, my calves, everything. How I can delude myself to go a day without it, I will never know. But I really need it for soothing my muscles.
Let’s hope I also start taking more seriously the spiritual aspects of this. Maybe when I enroll into Kundalini yoga classes. Have to try out that new place that just opened up nearby.

This is very important, but somehow I don’t do it. As of today I will. Even if its just 5 minutes. I need to find a good routine as well – I will start to collect resources and tips to find a good, 20 minute routine to do every night, and will the try and increase it to 30 mins and 45 mins and then an hour every night. Im motivated!

The benefits are unbelievable, I can’t even fathom why this isn’t taught in schools everywhere

granted, 2 are being held indefinitely but still… no excuses! i have a yoga DVD that i don’t even need, i just need to stop being lazy and get on that mat! today i will do yoga when i get home from work.
