based on an animal or on chance so I am parking this for a while.
Someone sent me this picture at work and claim that the person who took the photo saw this beauty just outside the lab property. I wouldn’t be surprised since our resident herd of deer is growing and the mountain lions are not dumb. Just wait, the deer will go over the fence…
All I can tell from the photo is that the vegatation looks right for this area.
It was during the day and I thought that it was a house cat. So I stopped riding my bicycle and I was talking to the cat. Then it stood up and I realized that it belonged where it was. I think it was trying to catch a ground squirrel or a gopher because it was staring into the grass. It stayed put for a few minutes waiting for its quarry. I think it was young since it was about the size of my largest cat – well except for the paws!!!
That was only my third live bob cat sighting in my life. They are so beautiful.
The mountains near my house have lions and I have often seen their tracks. My friend has seen one, early in the morning. There are plenty of deer around so I know they are close by. But being shy animals they don’t like people to see them.
I’d just like to see one from a distance and watch it for a while to see how beautiful they are in real life.
