Having a tough time with Miss Julie. It was not the greatest of films, but had some stellar samples that i might want down the road.
Ah, looks like i might hold onto this one.

I took the remainder of my VHS tapes (and DVD’s that I no longer wanted and that didn’t sell in my garage sale) to Dimple Records for buy back.

They bought nearly everything. I am so relieved. I exchanged two HUGE boxes for a box set (DVD) and two DVD’s. It’s not a lot more – but it helps achieve a secondary goal of saving space! Plus, the new ones are all ones I’ve really been wanting.

Can’t wait for the rest to go!

I’m selling more than half of them at a garage sale I’m having this weekend! I can’t wait for them to be gone! Whatever doesn’t sell I’ll put up on ebay in a big lot. The remainder are not store bought tapes, they’re all copies of things off tv and home movies. Those will be harder to get rid of.

I’ve resumed this after quite a few years of not being organised.

Got it feels good to be getting on with it today!!

i’m getting really tired of tripping over this box on the floor.
Eons ago i worked at Tower (in video) and used to get all these free promos. Some were great & i really should replace on DVD. Others were mediocre, tho i should give them 1 more try.
Then there are the movies i bought and outgrew or had for dj’ing. ugh.

I’ve been working on this for a bit now. I have so many that I need to copy to DVD before I kick them in the trash.

But I’m so eager to get this done! When I moved in January (and packed up before for storage) I had so many boxes of VHS tapes. It took up so much space! And I don’t want to leave them in a storage unit, so they’ve been sitting in my closet.

I can’t wait to get this done. I’ve already gifted a box of VHS tapes to a friend who still records TV shows with her VCR. I can’t wait for the rest to be gone!

Gonna have to start by revonnecting the VCR etc. Been gathering dust for about 3 years! :-D

That was a goal that I didn’t particularly want to add to my to do list, but because the old one kicked the bucket, and the one we were given wouldn’t rewind (an important function), this goal has stalled considerably. On the up side, it meant 2 clunky old VCR’s out the door.

Now we’ve dug up something that works (hiding in the back of the “closet of technology”, something I really should cull) and I can start weeding tapes again.

I vow to toss at least 5 tapes today.
