I still throw my clothes on the floor…but i pick them up every day; getting closer.

nopurplestuff There is no try!
I’ve started using my drying rack to hang the clothes that I’ve worn but aren’t yet dirty, like my sweaters. And instead of throwing clothes on the floor that I’ve tried on but don’t end up wearing, I just set them on the rack. And when I have nothing better to do, I go in and put them away! oh yeah. hampers help too.
I think it’s all about hooks. I have 2 beautiful hooks on my wall already (decorative AND functional) and they definately get some use, but are always filled with l)work clothes and 2) pajamas/lounge day wear. So I figure if I could just add about 3 or 4 more on my walls that I’d be able to sort the “clothing crisies” out while in process (instead of throwing it all in a frenzied pile on the floor) and recover (i.e. sort, hang, fold) faster & easier. I’m gonna give it a shot in the new year. I think it just might work.

I was horrible. Clothes everywhere.
I cleaned my room yesterday and I’m going to master this goal once and for all.

When getting dressed, I usually put on 7 or 8 different outfits before I find something that suits me. The stuff I don’t end up wearing gets tossed on the floor where it gets stepped on, wrinkled and then I can’t remember if it’s clean or not, so I end up washing it again. I know I can’t count on myself to actually fold and put away the clothes i don’t end up wearing, so I devised an alternative. I have 2 laundry baskets in my closet. One for dirty clothes, and one for clothes that are clean. When trying something on and deciding not to wear it, I just fold it and set it in the “clean clothes” basket. That way they aren’t on the floor and when i have more time I can put them away.
Giving up on this one and adding another one….
Climb Laundry Mountain….hahahahahha
in addition to not yet completing this goal, i’ve also added the terrible act of throwing all of my papers on the floor.
i am now keeping my closet neat and tidy, which means that there are some clothes being kept in there, off the floor. but that’s only the clean ones. once they’ve been worn, who knows. eh, i’m halfway there.
this should probably be higher than #17 on my list. my parents pulled a surprise visit on me yesterday, and in my scrambling to clean up before they arrived i filled four garbage bags full of my clothes that had been thrown on the floor. i’m horrible.
