Am joining a group of girls once a week to practice drawing and craft
How to learn to draw better
How I did it: The thing that really help was the fact that I took a pre-college course at School of Visual Arts. My art teachers at school say that my drawing skill has improved by alot.
Lessons & tips: Practice I guess.
Resources: A pre-college program at SVA. But Im pretty sure you can just take any art class to help

Hey!
This is my first entry about my “thing”, learn to draw better.
I like the japanese comics style, manga and I’m trying to improve my abilities.
These days, I decided to do it seriously, but started doing one or two drawings by day. My next step will be: do it more and more, studying technics and getting better day by day! =’U’=

I can draw a little I guess. I’m just not good enough.

I feel like I learned a lot in my drawing class, but I wanted to find a medium in which I felt like I could express myself more. So for Christmas, J. got me a set of decent pastels and a well-regarded instruction book, so I’m going to give it a shot. There’s a pastel class being offered later this spring I can take if it seems to grab me.

is based on the book about drawing from the right side of the brain. It’s great for me because I’ve never had art classes (since elementary school!) and don’t even understand the basics about proportion, depth, perspective and how to draw those things. I just know my drawings never looked right (besides the fact that they were basically stick figures!) We’re drawing buildings right now and just learning how to see the angles as they appear, not how our left-brain “knows” that they are. Someday I hope to be able to draw well enough to draw what’s in my head and use it creatively. But for now it’s really great to be getting the basic concepts and skills.

for a beginning drawing class. I’ve always been a pretty lousy drawer, but this is one artistic skill I would love to be able to have somewhat (also sculpture.) So every Monday night for 10 weeks, I’ll be doing that….
i used to draw a bit when i was younger but kinda grew out of it the older i got… would really like to get back into it
I’ve been drawing a lot lately, And i’m not doing too bad (Tooting my own horn here!) but i’d love to get some guidence or something so i can draw more realistic rather than cartoon/manga, Hopefully i’ll make that happen someday.
