Kyudo is the ancient tradition of archery in Japan. It is tightly woven to zen, which makes it twice as attractive to pick up. I read two books about it (one about the zen in kyudo and another one about the techniques) and since I don’t do any martial arts anymore since my master died, it would be nice to try something similar. Similar means an excuse to meditate more.

I tried Kyudo basics while visiting japan, bought a simple bow.. now need to train :( even being all alone in this country with this kind of wish I still dont want to give up :) So will try on training alone. Must read more online books and use more free time, before autumn and winter cold catches me outside ;)
