Hmm… Somehow I managed to read half the book, know a little about a Oscar Wilde, but not know he was gay until somebody told me. Reading the book, it makes sense. It was definitely worth reading.
How I did it: Well, I had to put myself in positions where I was forced to read. Dorian Gray is good, but the first half is a lot of Wilde's art theory and such, so it's pretty slow until the plot begins to drive it a bit more.

lonelillie can't sleep.
in the past week I have heard at least 3 references to this book. I think it’s time to read it!
I read The Picture of Dorian Gray about a year ago. I had really been wanting to read it for a while. I was so glad when I finally got the chance and even happier when I finished it. Probably one of my favorite books. I just wish I could get down to reading it again.
I decided to read this after I watched the movie “The Leaugue of Extraordinary Gentlemen.” I LOVED this book..you have to appreciate classic literature in order to love it though..
gothelin is starting to get stuff done again.
When I was quite young I saw an old black and white movie based on this book and I absolutely loved it. Being a very booky person, I’m amazed I haven’t read the book yet. I thought about it again briefly after I saw the movie “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”, particularly when I found that I was having to explain to everyone exactly who Dorian Gray was. Honestly, some people just have no culture.
Hmmm….like those who watch the movie rather than reading the book, perhaps? Right. Find Book. Read Book.
