And that business is good.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mahinui and her husband about ten days ago in Chicago. We started off with an evening together at The Drake along with SweetMK. The next day we dined together at Star of Siam along with a whole bunch of 43ers. I was glad I’d had the one on one time with them the night before because when so many 43ers get together it’s hard to give everyone some time. While we were there on Sunday I was having everyone sign postcards and birthday cards for other 43ers. What she didn’t realize at the time was that there was a card for her too, which we hid from her. I couldn’t make her sign 43 Postcards and 8 other birthday cards without having one for her too. It was of course her first birthday card of the year. Here are my wishes for her for the coming year:

May the plans progress quickly and without weather delays as they work toward building their Hawaiian treehouse. May she successfully court the muse that brings the music to the prose, and then share it with us. And may she put in the effort needed to be fit at 57 as she works toward being sexy at 60.
