(What is RSS?)Graf writing is not a science. I think you should just go for it and study other graf writers and see their styles. There are a ton of different styles out there: bubble letters, wild style, and many writers even make their own style. You can get a sketch book and start experimenting.
Look up graf writers like problak and check out the way they work.
