Fell out of his nest, raised him from infancy to about 3 months. Fun. He used to fall asleep in my pocket.

I used to have a ground squirrel as a pet. And ofcourse it was not captured from wild, there are no wild richardsons in Europe after all..?
They are a bit tricky as pets, but worth it! Absolutely! <3

Definitely worth doing but I reccomend a flying squirrel.

They are great pets with amazing personalies. Don’t keep it in cptivity though, find one you can rehabilitate.

But only if the animal clearly needs help. Otherwise it’s best to leave wild animals outside.
We had a squirrel named “Peanuts” when I was a child. He was found after on the ground by my oldest brother who walked home from school—Peanuts was too small to take care of himself. He lived with us many years, sitting on our shoulder and drinking hot cocoa.
Even now I have squirrels that eat from my hands and come to me, fearless. I adore them.
