Well, not great, but at least good enough... 16 months ago

The leek pie was dry, the salad had way too much vinegar, the meat was hard, but the home-baked bread was delicious, and the chocolate pudding… ah, the chocolate pudding!! Everything about it was heavenly. Well, all in all, not great, but a good start. Preparing a 3-course menu is not very easy, after all!

    The menu 16 months ago

Well, I haven’t yet heard of the guests, but I already have a menu:
For starters, a small tradidional greek leek pie with a touch of originality, served with a special mayonnaise and herbs sauce, a small salad and home-baked bread. For main course, pork rolls stuffed with mushrooms on grapes sauerkraut, and for dessert small chocolate puddings with chocolate syrup, served with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
    How does it sound?

For my supervisors 16 months ago

I want to throw an amazing dinner party for my former supervisor, my present supervisor and their wives. I am planning to bake bread, make an appetizer, main course and dessert. It will be a lot of work, and it will be fun. I hope I make it! And that I choose the correct wine :)

    Shalom! It’s Passover Time Again!

Passover is a time for reaching out to those whom you hold most precious, with your most heartfelt wishes.

Gorgeous Spring flowers are the perfect way to create an above and beyond impression, that lasts and lasts.

Send your friends, family, and loved ones a striking arrangement from our quality Passover collection to wish them blossoms of cheerfulness and joy.

Read on for some great ideas on how you can use fresh flowers this Holiday and click on any of the images of our first-rate, fresh cut flowers to make this year’s Passover truly unforgettable.

Passover is a Jewish festival commemorating the Exodus from Egypt and the liberation of the Israelites from slavery. It is directly followed by the Festival of the Unleavened Bread. The two events are celebrated as one festival.

As a Christian holiday, Passover was observed by a number of early Christians and is still observed today by a small number of Christian groups. Unlike the Jewish Passover which commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, the Christian Passover commemorates the deliverance from sin by the sacrifice of Jesus, the fulfillment of the prophetic Old Testament Passover. The Christian Passover starts on the evening of the 14th day of Nisan.

Passover celebrates the freedom of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. For many, it is also a celebration of revitalization, and spring. Here are some excellent ways to use fresh-cut flowers to make Passover an extra-special event this year:
    • Decorate your brunch table with votive candles interspersed among numerous vases of Assorted Tulips. Guests can each take home a small vase as a party favor.
    • Surprise your visitors with Rose Corsages and Boutonnieres to wear to religious services.
    • Line your entryway with charming Assorted Peruvian Lilies. A wreath of mixed spring flowers on your front door is a fabulous finishing touch.
    • Decorate each place setting at your table with a unique flower variety. Include each variety in a vase for your table centerpiece.
    • Adorn hors d’oeuvre trays with beautiful Assorted Roses- try http://www.48longstems.com/
    • Make a special centerpiece with colorful Gerber Daisies in a teapot or a cluster of teacups. Or place a small bloom on each saucer when serving tea.
    • Fill a traditional wicker basket with dazzling Sunflowers to use as a centerpiece. For a charming effect place smaller baskets or candles next to the arrangement. This can also be done with clay pots.

I always find myself sitting at the table alone! 3 years ago

I heard someone say ‘A party is only as good as it’s guests!’

    how true!

I think I have a pattern of befriending sucky people (prolly something to do with my feelings of selfworth etc etc) so even if I invite people and they say they will come…usually my dinner parties find me alone with a beautiful table and too much food for one person.

So my goal is to meet some quality (!) people and have a great dinner party. As it stands right now I dont know anyone and dont have any friends so there is no one to invite! So I need to meet 3 people to have this fabulous dinner party – like the kind you read about and see on tv!
