Walking back to the hostel from dinner one night, my group got caught in a sudden massive downpour. It got so bad (and people in their cars were laughing at us) that we climbed onto a window-sill (tiny shelf of shelter) in that crooked little alleyway for a bit.
ihaveshoos is sorry for being an *utter* flake recently
...It’s nice if you are in the right mood and can go home and hop in a shower when you get over the thrill of it.
It’s not so nice if you are heading somewhere and you would rather not be drenched when you arrive.
I reckon a really heavy downpour when you are in a bad mood does the trick. Kinda reminds you how small you are, but in a good way.
And if I have learned anything sunny Swansea in the not so sunny winter is the best place for this. Comes straight off the bay and really belts it down.
Good stuff :)
Worth doing!
Everytime I get caught in the rain I feel amazing…honestly…Im not joking! Last time i was with my friend and we just ran like crazy!

Try it at least once, it may not sound too fun but it can be refreshing!

i got caught out in the rain with some friends and then another time recently. it was kinda romantic yet scary. it’s best if it’s not intentional, so don’t lock yourself out of your house while it’s raining, just go on with your life and it’ll happen. trust me, it always does . . .

Whether you’re on your way to a wedding or just bought new shoes, getting caught in a downpour is fantastic! If you’re fortunate, you’ll be able to laugh at yourself through it and take it in stride and just enjoy it!
If you’re a bit on the uptight side, you’ll get grumpy and angry. In this case it might be humbling, causing you to not put so much care into caring what you look like all the time. Just enjoy it! It can put things into perspective!
Not worth it!
It’s okay with a little bit of drizzle. Beyond that it kinda sucks!
Not worth it!
A hard downpour in the S.W. can lead to flash floods and very cold temperatures. So getting caught can be life threatening. It does get you to respect nature but it’s not necessarily something that one wants to do.
