I am just sure I’m gonna love it.

After only a month of work, my boss gave me a $600 a month raise. When I was first hired, I was the highest paid Legislative Aide they had ever had in the history of the office, and then they went and gave me a raise! How sweet is that?
I admit, it can get stressful during deadlines, but we do also have slow periods when I have the time to catch up on myspace, read, and play on my DS. Serious. We also have a gazillion holidays off since we’re state workers (even random crap like “Kuhio Day”. My job is that awesome.
It helps if you are efficient and get things done, but I also really like the dynamic of the office too. My coworkers are all young and we get along, and my boss (he’s a Representative, so he can be bossy sometimes) is a good guy who buys us lunch once a week and makes sure we have a fully stocked fridge and snack area (very important to a pregnant woman).
It’s also super cool to see things I’ve ghost-written in the newspapers. I have had about 4 articles printed so far this year, and I’ve written 5 speeches that actually got televised on the news. When I’m out in public, and I hear strangers talking about some of the controversial topics related to my office, I want to raise my hand and shout, “that’s me! I wrote that bill!” Haha.
This is by far my favorite job, and I’m going to be sad to leave it when I move to Texas in May.
I have a great job now but I don’t think it is the job I want for the rest of my life. I don’t think it identifies my passion nor my strengths.
I Love flowers and flowers love me. And I got paid for giving my love plus I made a great friend.
BEST SUMMER EVER!
