Okay so I’ve been running on and off for a few months. Last week I ran a couple of times, an hour each time. I find that recently my knees have been cracking kinda loudly. Is this normal? Am I calcium deficient?
Las Vegas Marathon on Dec/2/08
So far I’m on track. Longest run 11 miles already.
Will try for 4hr finish but not so sure if I’ll be able to make it first time.

Had a good run tonight, 9km on an undulating course, I’m still training at a slightly too fast pace. A couple of niggly pain points that I need to ensure don’t turn into injuries, in fact quite a few. Right forefoot, left calf, left knee, left achilles! Had a couple of nights of light drinking, and this is not good for the training or general feeling. Sunday 31st is a good half-marathon hit-out where I’m going to try to not destroy myself, but finish solid, hopefully under 1:35.
tanbaker is trying to figure things out.
i’m pretty excited! i’m going to do a 5k walk/run with two of my closest friends. this is, of course, the beginning of this goal but i can’t help but smile about it nonetheless. :)
Its funny that I want to do this, because I’ve always hated running! But I think the reason I hated running is because I’ve always been so bad at it! Now its my goal to not just DO it, but LOVE it!
I’ll start with a half marathon, and work my way up to a full!
Tomorrow I’m going to jump back into week 10 of Hal Higdon’s training plan. I missed out on three weeks- an entire cycle- but I have no other choice. I’m young. I can do it.
Im training for a marathon in october. i hope i can do it since my foot has been an issue. ive taken almost two weeks off so im hoping to get back into it starting tomorrow.

I have been meaning to get fit for ages now and I think a goal this huge may be a big enough motivation for me to do it.
