I searched for months to find the right – work from home opportunity.
I was fortunate ~~ proceeded with “caution”. There are many scams and unrealistic opportunities out there.
First – I knew what I did not want to do- then looked for the opportunity. I now work from home ~ love the freedom and flexibility it allows me, especially with a recent medical comdition that I know I would have been let go had I been an employee. I now have the flexibility for Dr appts and tests.
I now have a surgery scheduled in Novemeber and I can work my business around this …....
They say “Everything happens for a reason” and I believe I started
in this business from home – so I would have the time for my medical condition.
I have no regrets and I’m thankful each day to have found this great company – because even while I recover after surgery I still earn an income – residual.
It took me 10 days to “wrap my arms around it” and take the plunge.

I’m still on maternity leave taking care of my 7 week old baby. The day before yesterday I decided I really want to stay home at least until he starts school. Am I crazy for giving up my job during a recession? I made a budget that I know we can stick to…but is this too much of a risk to take right now?

I am currently a SAHM and I love everyday of it. I have a 4 year old daughter who I have just recently started 1/2 days in pre-school but I also have a son due in Feb.
I searched the internet for months looking for something that was right for me, found it. Once I joined it was 14 days before I was making enough money to cover my portion of the bills. At the time I was only engaged and not planning a wedding for at least a year.
I am not saying it was easy, but I love what I do. I am able to be with my kids whenever I want to and I am able to enjoy a safer and healthier life thanks to working from home.
The pros for me were being with my family, lowering gas costs, and NO OVERHEAD!
Need help, just ask!

I continued to work nights after my daughter was born. It worked well, but I got so tired working at night and waking up to be with her while Daddy was at school.
The keys to success in this are to let go of the extras you think you can’t live without (like getting your haired done, or nails, etc. Excessive shopping…)and embrace that you are doing a wonderful thing for your children!
Often, continuing to work will only pay for the childcare you will need to have the privilege of working.
Children really benefit from actually being raised by their parents! There is a lot less worry about having to find a suitable daycare with qualified and friendly providers.
It is really a good feeling being able to take a traditional role of mothering, and enjoy the precious time you have with your kids before the grow up!

I’m currently in a job that I love and I know I have it good—I have the flexibility to do some work at home every day, plus I work a 4-day work week. The pay and time off are great as well. I’m planning to give this up and stay home with our first child when she is born in January. It’s been a really difficult decision for me to make & I struggle with myself every day wondering if I’m making the right decision. It makes me sick to think of putting her in day care, but it also pains me to think of giving up my job. I want to be 100% in my decision and have no regrets! Help!

sillylily is thinking of more things i want to do
I’m pregnant with my 2nd child and realize being a sahm later would probably be best as I can’t seem to endure being away from my first child full time (since he was 3 months old), especially now that he’s so interactive and fun. Hopefully by spring next year, after maternity leave, I’ll have things worked out! Fortunately, my husband is all for it.

I really was not planning on being a stay at home mom, but I was working in a town 45 minutes away and simply could not afford the gas anymore. After figuring out my bills for gas, wear and tear on a 2nd car(that we no longer need), luches out, dinner out because I was too tired to cook, child care and never seeing my kids – it worked out. We are not rich by any means, but my kids think its worth not having alot of money to spend just to have me home!

I have been working for 25 years in the same company and now they are looking to “retire” some “old folks”. I would love to stay home with my 5 year old son and home school but not seeing a real way to do it.

I just had my first baby in August, and went back to work full time in November. I am hating it. It’s getting harder and harder to get up every morning. I love the people I work with, but I am burnt out on what I do. It’s not interesting or fun or enjoyable to me in anyway, so all I think about all day is how I should be home with my baby. Unfortunately, it’s not possible right now since DH is going to school full time.
Some days are worse than others, but lately it literally makes me want to cry when I’m sitting at work. I’m so depressed. I’ve been searching for some work-from-home type jobs but none of them would pay me close to what I am making now, and we can’t afford for me to make much less. I just don’t know what to do, it’s really starting to affect me. Something’s gotta give, I need a change.
Anyways, I just needed to vent..If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, short of anything illegal and/or pornographic…let me know!
