The most recent “new and fulfilling” goal is closed as June has faded into history. So why not join us on the next goal for July August and September

    Stayed in the garden
    It is sunny
We have paid so much for this house and garden
and when we get a day of we spend it in the car?

It has been very relaxing – reading some of Twilight
    and drinking iced drinks

June or July ? 4 months ago

I started, or at least laid down the groundwork, for several things that I will probably complete in July and August. So did I write about them here or in the “New and Fulfilling – July, August, September goal?

PC upgrade....a long time coming 4 months ago

My PC has been a pain in my you-know-what for months, maybe even a year if I think hard. I stressed over what to do – but did nothing.

In March I had printer problems and mentioned it to a co-worker, a helpful guy in IT. He called me at home one night, talked me thru what to do and when he realized how slow my PC was, he offered to take care of it. How? I didn’t want to spend a lot on a 6 year old PC. No problem, he said all I needed was more memory (who doesn’t?). He’d install it and clean it up for me.

Once I finally got it to him this month, it took less than 3 days. I now have a PC that acts brand new!! It cost less than $40 for the hardware plus cash to him for such hard work (Happy to help his economic crisis).

    New? The memory
    Fulfilling? Having a speedy PC
Thrifty? Didn’t have to pay a fortune to the Geek-squad

Why did I procrastinate on this for 3 months?

    May(some more)
    1. I started summer classes. Not exactly fun, but I ended up with an A- in my Political Science class, and I’m done with it!
    2. I went to my parent’s new house, which is a four hour drive from school. I didn’t get lost, which is quite a feat for me.

    June
    1. I drove in Atlanta. It was nerve racking, but I’m glad I did it. I’ve actually done it twice since then, and I’m not afraid anymore.
    2. I went to visit my friend at Georgia Tech (hence the driving in Atlanta). I hadn’t seen her since Christmas and it was the first time I had seen another friend since graduation the previous year.
    3. I bought a Slice
Now this normally wouldn’t be frugal, but I saved 50 dollars on it because I got it on ebay.
    4. I sold movies I don’t watch to Movie Stop and ended up getting 4 new ones that I like more than all the others combined.
