Start an independent record label

JA.Records was founded in 2006 by Jamar Anderson since then JA.Records is turning into a susessful organiztion signing up coming artist EastCoast,jimbo,goon status JA.Records specaialize in rap/r&b and other music JA.Records is about giving chances to very talanted artist

I put out two records under the label Lost Nation, Iowa. they were… eh. I’d like to do something better with the label one day, but as with all things worth doing, it consumes energy like a suckling. I just don’t have the time to do anything with it now.

I want to start an independent record label that allow me the opportunity to promote, create, manage and distribute my music as well as giving new talent the opportunity to be heard by others. My main focus is Hip Hop, R&B, Reggaeton, and Ballad. I like to have a diversity of music genre to attract different type of music market.

So, I was able to press a few copies via a friend’s PC just before the holidays. So that makes my official release date December, 2007. Already sold about a dozen copes, and now with my new iMac (drool) I’ve been burning more copies to sell at open mics and performances. I’m playing a show in NJ in mid-March. Perhaps I’ll get a few more copies sold!

I stated my record Label a few months ago… Right now I have 3 artist to label. Their name are B Eazy, Jonny, and Money Mark. We did many show in south florida, and plan to go on tour this summer. Look out for the album coming in stores soon…
