Buy land

At first, this goal was part of a larger plan of buying land in the Capital Region, and building a Rocio Romero house to live in. Now my ideas have changed, we bought a house in Cohoes, and I have gotten into the idea of urban living and revitalizing existing downtown infrastructures instead of building new. That seems like the responsible (environmentally and definitely financially) and right thing to do. So, since we bought a house, you could say technically, we do own the 25’ wide by 100’ long piece of land underneath it.

But I am keeping this goal because I still hold on to this sick belief in becoming one of those dreaded second home owners, which I admit goes against all of that urban living philosophy. How great would it be to buy a plot of land in the Thousand Islands and plop a Wee House down on it?

2-years have easily gone by without me noticing it much. Last month, I’ve finished the 24-month installment payments for the 151 sq.m. land last.

All that’s left is to sign the Deed of Sale and pay the transfer fees. ^^

One week from tomorrow and I will be a landowner!!!

Well they counteroffered 3 grand over my offer, and I declined, but they later called and told me that they’d accept my original offer!
Closing date is the 16th of January! I am going to be a landowner at the age of 21! I am so pumped!

I just put in an offer on 5 acres! Let’s see what they counteroffer.

After trying and failed so many time, I was successful in buying a piece of land in 2007. I am very happy now to own a piece of land, something of my own.

I don’t know why, but I’ve always liked the idea of owning land. And real estate. A.’s on the same page, so I guess as soon as we both earn “real” money, we will :)

Dream = Apple trees, a pond , a hammock, a slight breeze, a small fire ....

Truth = Bugs, Theft, Snow, Boredom , Heat, “Strange Noises”, Bears, Snakes, ...

I want the Dream .. Can I avoid the Truth?

I want to own a dubble wide in the middle of no where.

my wife and I bought 2 acres out “in the sticks”, as it were. I absolutely love it! Between the wildlife (deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, groundhogs, dragonflys, etc) and the elbow room (I can’t even see one single neighbor when the leaves are on the trees!), I finally feel like I can breathe. I drove through my old neighborhood recently, and realized that it felt like the houses were on top of each other and super close to the road. I love it.
