Ode to a Blouse 3 years ago

I fell in love with a blouse today.

I’m not quite sure if it’s entirely possibly, but it’s so unpredictably satisfying and so scrumptiously agreeable, I simply can’t help it.

For a blouse is not a boy. And I must say, although falling in love with a boy does have its perks, the downfalls of a seemingly disagreeable situation are just too many. So, I choose the blouse.

And come on, how could you not…

I ordered tons of clothes from anthropologie before my europe trip 3 years ago

This is what happened: I got to my desk one morning and found someone’s catalogue on my desk, so i flipped through it and just couldn’t help myself, it sat there and I flipped through it everyday, finally I couldn’t resist anymore, I went online and probably spent 2 hours on their site and ordered tons of stuff! I had a good reason though because I was going to france and switzerland and had a good excuse to buy stuff. It was totally worth it because I got tons of looks and compliments, everyone loved my clothes, no one looked as chic and put together as I did in all my anthropoligie outfits for the lenght of my 2 week stay in paris, I myself was surprised!!!. I was very surprised that the french girls didn’t have much style, american girls and celebreties seem to really run fashion and there are many more fashionable woman walking around the states than I saw in Paris! the men were handsome and well dressed and were much better put together than the woman, the swiss were much better dressed than the french and had better style. Anyways I love anthropologie clothing and the mcatalogue photos are great and stylish!

    Dear lord. 4 years ago

I am so obsessed with Anthropologie, it’s not even funny. I have been for years now; my bedroom is wallpapered in pages I’ve ripped from their catalogues. I have taken up sewing just so I can alter stuff I already have or find second-hand to resemble the kind of stuff they sell. Granted, about a third of their stuff is very blah or otherwise not engaging, but lord love a duck, the stuff that isn’t is so mind-blowingly beautiful it hurts to look at.

Maybe I’m a little too fixated. Anyway, it’s all so goddamn expensive that I have never been able to even think about really getting any of their stuff, but now that I’m going to be working, I’m determined to start in on this goal. Piece by piece, month by month, paycheque by paycheque, I will make it happen. My intent is to have accumulated a decent collection by the time I start college.
