finish my fanfic

I started writing this Harry Potter fanfic about 3 years ago but the books have disappointed me so much that I’ve been unable to finish. Hopefully if I write another chapter of it over the Christmas holidays I’ll get back into it enough to finish it.

I’ve started so many fanfics…but I’ve never finished any of them. The one I would love to finish is the Harry Potter fanfic that I started back in 9th grade. I have an affinity for it. :’(

I started this fic over 8 years ago, and had finished 6 chapters then. Betweem moving and having to be an adult (excuses excuses) it has fallen by the wayside for way too long. Also the story is pretty involved so a lot of aspects of it intimidate me.

The story is a DBZ character insertion fic. I just got done re-reading everything I had written so many years ago, and I fell in love with the story again. I have to finish it! Ugh, but so many more chapters to go… and so much stuff to plan still >.<!

When I first wrote this goal up, I meant the West Wing fanfic about the Supreme Court judges who fall in love. Although I’ve written a lot of other fanfics, I have yet to complete this one. When I’m a published author, I plan to write a book based on the idea I originally had, I’ve always loved books that involve both romance and politics and writing one would be hella fun…but not until I’m older.

My Fan-Fic is called When Worlds Collide. I started it a little less then a year ago. I plan to finish it someday, but it’s far from done. So far i have 27 out of 100 or so chapters.

My massive- lol- fanfic is now 17 chapters, and it should only have 3 more. But it’s been a really long time since I started, and frankly I’ve done a helluva lot more on it than I ever thought I would.

How can I get more motivated to get it done?

Tomorrow I’m gonna watch the relevant TV ep to remind myself of what’s going on with the characters, and then I can re-read the last couple of chapters to refresh my memory. Then I can get going on this sucker.

I started my biggest fanfic at the end of my freshman year—I am now nearing the end of my junior year, and I’m STUCK.
It’s a Digimon Tai/Yamato fic, and there’s a lot of Sora drama, and I guess I’m stalling because I can’t stand her character in the fic.
I updated… one chapter this summer.
I’m sure my readers think I’m dead.

Finished ch. 4 last week.

Half way through ch. 5. =3
