I say expertly because I know it to a degree 9 months ago

I know French to a degree, I can probably converse the basics but as to making it big in France, hmmm… I can use a lot more work. I took French from the earliest possible time I could have taken it which was 8th grade on through senior year.

I took the French language exam where I could get retroactive credits – meaning college credits depending on how I proficient I was on my French via the exam. So luckily, I got all the possible credits I could get, got placed into the Advance French classes at my state-university, and went from there.

My first semester of college was Advance French I, second semester was Advance French II. My third semester at the university was French Conversations and French Classic Literature (reading works such as Corneille, Pascal, Racine, etc.) I was also in the French club …

After that, I transferred out of the university to a school that was “one-tracked” and didn’t have another French class thereafter. So…

That was 3-years ago, and I think the biggy step for me in becoming completely fluent in French is to just - live, breathe, eat French for like 6-months. Meaning, move to a French speaking country and just try to survive! Because you know what? Using Pimsleurs French is just not cutting it completely.
