Bee Sage Two days with the house to myself!
It’s my kitchen. Over the past three days I cooked 33 cups of pudding, 6 cakes, 60+ mini biscuits, and 140+ mini corn muffins.
And it has been the most hectic, but wonderful three days of the semester.

I held a meeting, and did homework in my room this evening! Time for a happy dance! MY room!!!

Now it’s the mindset I need.

One of the Egman’s roommates brought this awesome handmade table back to school with him and set it up in the living room. I claimed it as my desk. Sadly though, my being in the Egman’s apartment is NOT a productive situation. For me or the Egman.
So I’m going to borrow the Egman’s headphones (so I don’t bother the neighbors or get distracted by noises outside), lock my bedroom door so I don’t have to worry about the roomie barging in, and get my homework done there.
When I’m done I can visit with the Egman and eat unholy amounts of ice cream at that awesome table.

So far I’ve been pretty good at being productive in my kitchen, my craft spot, and my work desk. Maybe I need to work on making all of these spots more workable?

This would be terribly easy if I had working internet at my apartment. I have two desks where I can let my stuff sit as needed, and a dresser that I use as a “standing desk” when I’m fidget-y or dancing.
As of now, I either sit on the Egman’s couch or kitchen counter…both of which are frightfully uncomfortable places to do work…or I’m in one of the collaborative spaces at school that, while being awesome for group-work, are too temporary to feel like a good work-zone.
I need a place where I can:
1) sit or stand as needed
2) have stable internet (can be slow, just has to work consistently)
3) leave what I’m working on as-is when I go somewhere else
4) have music playing
5) store all of the materials I need for all of my homework
Most likely this will have to be something I have at my apartment this fall, but until then, I’ll have to settle for a few out of the five requirements.
